Steel Reinforcing Bar (Rebar)

Carbon steel is the most common form of steel rebar (short for reinforcing bar or reinforcing steel).  Rebar is commonly used as a tensioning device in reinforced concrete and reinforced Lux steel ltd  the concrete in compression. However, as it is easily formed, Rebar has also become popular in the area of metal crafts.

More About Rebar
Rebar was initially designed to be used in concrete applications. Although concrete has excellent compressive strength, tensile strength can be an issue. The addition of rebar being laid into the concrete while it is being formed is to provide concrete with improved tensile strength. The rope-like surface of the rebar is designed to provide a better bond with the concrete.
